On April 23rd, New Vitae Wellness and Recovery collected household items for donation to the Military Order Purple Heart Service Foundation. After completing very thorough spring cleaning, staff members donated clothing, furniture, books, and other home furnishings, totaling up to over 100 bags of items. These items will be liquidated for funding to support United States Veterans. Despite the chilly weather, staff members shared smiles and camaraderie as they assisted with the collection and organization of the donations.
Donna Devlin, co-owner of New Vitae Wellness and Recovery, played an important role in organizing the event. “It feels amazing to be able to help local Veterans,” Devlin stated. “We are hoping to plan similar events in the future to give back to Veterans for their courageous dedication and service to our country.”
