New Vitae Wellness and Recovery is pleased to announce that Crystal Yost, Administrator of the Pathways Program, has been selected by Lehigh Valley Business as a 2023 Forty Under 40 Award recipient. This annual award program recognizes young professionals in the Lehigh Valley area chosen based on achievement within their field, community service, and a commitment to positive change.
“We congratulate Crystal on this exciting honor,” said New Vitae President and CEO Judith O. Yanacek. “She is a passionate advocate for people with mental health challenges in the Lehigh Valley area, and the work she does every day helps improve lives and support our local communities. We are grateful for her exceptional contributions to the New Vitae team, and for her ongoing dedication to our residents and their families.”
At a young age, Crystal knew she wanted to work with people. She has a background in Art Therapy and worked specifically with the senior population and has trained and educated many on Dementia and Alzheimer’s. She moved over to mental health to combine her knowledge and switch gears to focus on mental health. Her own resilience has made her who she is today. Her grandmother was the sole person who led her to be who she is, inspiring her dedication and passion for helping others.
As part of the New Vitae team, Crystal has found an ideal outlet for this passion through her leadership and resiliency. She also serves as the Administrator for New Vitae’s Pathways Program, where she supports residents in need of a more holistic path to treatment and recovery, focusing on a trauma-informed, person-centered, forward-thinking approach to care.
Yost is also an active community advocate, serving on numerous professional committees where she contributes expertise and leadership.
“I am honored to be a part of this year’s Forty Under 40,” Yost said. “Alongside the rest of this year’s recipients, I look forward to continuing to uphold the high standards that this award represents, both on the job and in our community. I am passionate about the legacy, mission, and vision of New Vitae Wellness and Recovery, and I thank them for nominating me for this recognition.”
This year’s Lehigh Valley Business Forty Under 40 was recognized with an awards ceremony on Thursday, September 14, at the DeSales University Center in Center Valley.
