As we celebrate Pride Month, we honor the resilience, strength, and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community. Pride is a time for reflection and celebration of progress in securing rights and acceptance. However, alongside the revelry, it is crucial to address the challenges that persist, including substance use. Understanding the complex relationship between Pride Month and substance use in the LGBTQ+ community allows us to develop strategies for support and empowerment. The New Vitae Wellness Foundation partnered with Bradbury–Sullivan LGBT Community Center to bring awareness to how to support the LGBTQ+ Community.
The New Vitae Wellness Foundation was created to de-stigmatize mental health services, and education plays a crucial role in our mission. We are excited to continue to offer community training on topics supporting our foundation’s mission. Please save the date for our next training on traumatic brain injury, which will take place on September 26th at 3 pm.
