Surviving the Bridge: Hope, Healing, Recovery
New Vitae Wellness and Recovery was the primary sponsor for the first New Vitae Wellness Foundation event. New Vitae Wellness Foundation hosted award-winning guest speaker, bestselling author, and behavioral health advocate Kevin Hines for a community presentation on Oct. 5. Two years after receiving a diagnosis of bipolar disorder, Hines attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. New Vitae Staff and Residents Attend 2016 Quakertown 9/11 Patriots Day Ceremony
Residents and staff from the New Vitae Wellness and Recovery community participated in the Quakertown 9/11 Patriots Day Ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11. The group gathered at the Quakertown American Legion, Post 242 at 610 East Broad Street, to remember the 18 Bucks County residents and other first responders who died during the terrorist attacks in 2001. The annual ceremony also served to honor the sacrifices of police, fire, and emergency medical personnel. Following the service, the audience mingled and shared refreshments. Read More…

Residents Enjoy Quakertown House Carnival
Residents and staff of Quakertown House and Pathways had a fantastic time at the Quakertown House Carnival on Sept. 8, 2016. Hosted at the Jade House, residents enjoyed playing games, including a water balloon toss, ring toss, and other midway-style challenges for prizes. Many residents participated in face painting, and concession booths were available to offer sweet treats that added to the fun! Read More…

Jonathan Todd Barlow, MS, CAADC
Jonathan “Todd” Barlow has spent over 25 years in the addiction and co-occurring fields of behavioral health, working as a counselor, clinical supervisor, director, and executive director. After receiving his graduate degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Todd began working as an outpatient addictions counselor and discovered the vital, but sometimes overlooked role that family and friends play in an individual’s recovery. Todd was moved to change this pattern and adopted various recovery techniques to ensure inclusion of families in the recovery process.
